Suggest to keep your laptop battery between 40% to 80% and avoid to discharge it completely. Assuming that you are using either Windows or MacOS, set to energy-saving modes like power nap. Check and disable any unnecessary features and apps that can drain the battery life. Do not place the laptop in direct sunlight or somewhere with high temperature and place it on hard surface, not your lap or sofa.
